Our Area
The Dyfi Valley has been designated a Biosphere by UNESCO which underlines its rich biodiversity and culture. The area is peaceful and tranquil and has a wide variety of local attractions. Only 8 miles to the South of Pabell Lên Powys is Machynlleth - the ancient Capital of Wales. It has a wide range of shops, amenities and tourist attractions including a weekly outdoor market, held on Wednesdays. There are several pubs serving food, a Pizzeria serving authentic Italian Pizzas and an excellent Indian restaurant. The nearby village of Mallwyd has a pub which also has a good menu.
The hills and surrounding countryside offer peace, seclusion and stunning views at all times of the year and Snowdonia National Park is just a short drive away.
Local beaches are beautiful, but rarely crowded. The South and North beaches in Aberystwyth, and the sands in nearby Borth have all been awarded Blue Flags.
